WHAT is going on with the Sports world?
I don't know. But it is awesome. Victoria's teams are being handed major victories left and right.
The Dallas Mavericks have a 10 game winning streak and the best record in the NBA, with a HUGE win coming even without Dirk and Jerry Stackhouse.
The Saints are not only in the playoffs. They won the NFC South and have a first round bye. And an actually decent shot at advancing to the Superbowl, as long as they can hold off the Eagles (since we'll probably be playing the Eagles second round and they are the NFC team to beat. Sorry, but the Bears have fallen apart, as has Dallas). Sean Payton will almost certainly get Coach of the Year honors, and the only thing keeping Drew Brees from League MVP is LaDanian Tomlinson. Brees will probably get Offensive Player of the Year (at least, that's my hope. Because he freekin deserves it.)
Alabama did not embarrass itself in the Independence Bowl. (After losing to Miss State, that in and of itself is a moral victory.)
And...as of today...NICK SABAN IS COMING TO ALABAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There is no better choice for the Tide. Saban is more than just an amazing college coach. He's an amazing college coach who knows the SEC. He knows how to handle SEC defense--something I don't think Rich Rodriguez would have been good at. Oh my gosh.
What is right with the world??? My sports teams don't win. I don't like them because they are winners...I like them because they persevere. And because they have classy people coaching (Avery Johson, Sean Payton, NICK SABAN baby!)
