Thanksgiving was good. We went to Texas. Listened to Jim Henderson announce the entire Saints game yesterday coming back to New Orleans. 31-13 final score, Saints over Atlanta. We've hung on to the lead in the NFC South. Friggin awesome!!! We also broke our three game losing streak, a streak that came to be solely because of turnovers and never should have happened. The Saints have an amazing team this year. They are currently 7-4. This is all extremely amazing and...about friggin time, is all I can really say. We actually have decent playoff hopes. I'm excited.

LSU beat Arkansas, which pissed me off, because Arkansas had clenched its spot in the SEC championship before the game, and if they had beaten LSU and, and Florida had beaten them in the Championship, Florida might have had national champtionship aspirations, and I think it would raise the SEC in national esteem if Florida went to the national championship. I cannot stand that because we play strong defense we are looked upon by the rest of the US. It makes no sense to me. The SEC is one of two actually decent conferences in the nation.

In other news, I sent off my first short story today: to the Allegheny Review, the New Orlenas Review, the Colorado Review, and the New England Review. I'm hoping against hope for at least one positive rejection: a rejection that says, "We like your writing, please submit again." I really like this piece, though, and if it doesn't get accepted by one of these places (which I'm sure it won't) I'll probably work on it a little bit and send it to some other places. It's a satire about an a-lister having to vist her high school in rural kentucky. Anyway, I am really excited about my starting my collection of rejection letters. You have to start somewhere :)
