Like everyone, I'm shocked and saddened by the passing of Michael Jackson. I was still a little one when Thriller came out, but some of my happiest memories are listening to that casette over and over. Of course, I didn't watch the music video all the way through for a long time--those zombies scared me. ;)
He was one of the first musicians/entertainers that really captured my attention and helped nurture a love of music that flourishes to this day. As an individual, he had a troubled and strange life, but as a musician, he connected with many people. His songs are fun, interesting, and hard to forget.
