Of course, I absolutely LOVE my job and would never even DREAM of going somewhere where I was expected to actually think instead of pushing paper around all day and taking shit from grantees, which is completely why I went to university, but if I actually was job-searching and found a job advert for being a 911 dispatcher that included several questions possible applicants should consider including the one below, I would be happy:
4. Have you ever used illegal drugs other than marijuana? (If you have used marijuana, be prepared to discuss the circumstances during a polygraph test.)
- No, I have never used illegal drugs other than marijuana. (1 pt)
- Yes, I have used illegal drugs other than marijuana. (0 pts)

Okay, so that fact that drug use 'other than marijuana' is apparently enough to qualify you as an eminently bad person is depressing, but it astounds me that a job with the county in possibly one of the most anti-drug countries in the world accepts applicants that have used marijuana. This amazes me, and I think such progress should be celebrated.
So go have a toke and celebrate that even America is (grudgingly) moving forward.
