I think fall might be on its way, knock on wood.
Work's been kicking my ass lately. Therefore, I think it's incredibly important to remember the fantastic little things in life. I have two friends who just got married; Tony and I went to their wedding last month. I don't think they read this blog, so I'm safe in saying what I did in lieu of getting them a wedding gift (quite frankly, I couldn't afford anything on their registry.) My friend Dave's favorite cookies are snickerdoodles. I've made them for him for years, and he often eats a whole batch at a time. I found out from him that his wife, Allie, likes cupcakes. So, I baked snickerdoodles and chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting (and sprinkles!) for their wedding gift. I also enclosed some pretty awesome Hershey Kisses' shaped cookie cutters that I got at the Hershey's store in Chicago. Those stand for kisses (and hugs!). I also enclosed a small heart cookie cutter (for love) and a dog cookie cutter (b/c my nickname for Dave is Puppy.) I lined the box with gold tissue paper and found the coolest curl fill stuff to pack the box with...it's gold, silver, and white ribbons. A little card on top, and then the box is ready to be shipped to Chicago!

Excitement this weekend! Adr's in town and so are Chad and Paula. Fun will be had. Oh yes.
