The move on Saturday was a success. My lovely friends Christy, Brian, and Beth helped Tony and me load up the UHaul and unload at Tony's. Then we watched Scrubs, ate pizza, and drank assorted beverages. We were wiped out at the end of the day. I came back from my work trip and went straight into the final days of packing...so after the actual move I was done. Tony and I went to the last symphony show and then to O'Charley's for dinner, where we ran into a friend of his. It's always fun to meet new people in random places. Wait, that sounded sketchy.....
But we're not done, boys and girls....Sunday I spent most of the day over at the apartment cleaning. Finished up cleaning last night with R and the Adr's help, bless their hearts. We got pizza (I'm sensing a trend here) and hard cider, which I'd never had before. I was surprised I liked it, as I am generally adverse to ciders. (I know some of you have heard the story behind that one.) But it was tasty, and combined with physical exertion and oven cleaner, we had a good time. I felt pretty woozy by the end, but managed to unpack a few things back at the house and do some laundry.
Today, all this packing/moving/cleaning/unpacking activity caught up to me. I am exhausted, and basically am staggering through the work day. Not only is all this stuff wearing me out, but it's tough getting used to a new sleeping arrangement. I've been up late the last two nights, and when Tony gets home I stay up later with him. I'm going to go to bed as soon as 'ritas are over tonight.
