I see now what I'm doing.
I need to take the elements of my past that brought me joy, many of which are anachronistic, and bring them back to my present, kicking and screaming if need be.
Language: the beauty of reading and writing consistently. The study of multiple languages starting with a reclamation of my English/French bilingualism.
Alternative gaming: Interactive Fiction, Game Authoring Tools, Learning to Code. There are free programs out there that make it, or seem to make it, easy. Let's do this! Using some of my favorite authoring tools from years passed - ZZT, Megazeux, Twine, Inform, TADS.
Theatre: I wish to write, act and assist in theatrical productions again.
