I've never minded the dentist or orthodontist. I have very healthy teeth and gums and I always have. I don't mind any part of getting my teeth cleaned, I wasn't bothered by any part of having braces either. I went to a pediatric dentist for, as long as I can remember, until I was 19.
I have since started going to a non-pediatric real dentist and have come to see that real dental hygienists are sadists. And because of this I have an understanding for those who avoid the dentist.
