To all you crazy diet head bimbos...

I have something to illustrate.

It was brought to my attention today that there is a gross misunderstanding about food consumption and weightloss that stems from the lack of knowledge ignorance concerning food prices.
My supervisor recently told me of something she had witnessed. A rather large black women had been complaining about not being able to feed her kids despite working two jobs and receiving certain benefits that did not cover all necessary expenses (shelter, clothing, utilities, car payments, etc). When another woman (your typical white orange skinny bitch blond) heard this, her response was, "Well, you don't look like your starving!"

Alright, regardless of how you feel about this woman's circumstances (don't anyone dare comment with "welfare queen" bs), the point is that there has been a change in the weight dynamic. In old times, skinny people were usually in the labor class and were that way because they could not afford food and were overwrought with work. The upper classes ate sumptuious banquets and lived lives of relaxation, and thus were meaty.
Now things have changed. Bulk and processed foods have become easier and cheaper to produce. These are foods heavy in carbs and fats. Now those in the labor classes can only afford these types of foods, which are less healthy and cause obesity. Wealthier people have more time to sacrifice to exercise and more money to spend on food--fresh, non-processed, healthier foods, which allows them to be in better physical shape.

TL;DR: It is cheaper to be fat in our society. Being fit and eating right is incredibly expensive for those in the working class, who usually have to feed many mouths on a meager budget.

With the jump in food prices, I thought it was relevant to mention this.
