Just what I don't need for Christmas....

I have encountered a problem, I sold an item and the person paid ok and yesterday I got the following message:
"HI. I JUST GOT MY ITEM AND UNFORTUNEATLY I WILL BE RETURNING IT TO YOU.I will ship back to you tommorow morning- so please give me the address. I will not be using merchandise credit, so please issue me refund via paypal..thank you and please reply."
Ok, I did a chat with an ebay rep and he said that I didnt have to give a cash refund since it was stated in the description that I do merchadise credit. What got me was there was no reason, this is ebay not walmart, I never knew you could return something for no reason, and do you have to shout it at me?? her is my reply:
"I'm sorry but the listing says merchandise credit on it. Is there any size/brand you are looking for? "
Well I go to thinking last night and desided to be nice an doffer half and half for her money back...
This morning...
"I WAS LOOKING FOR A PARTICULAR ITEM, AND DO NOT FIT INTO ANY OTHER OF THE CLOTHES YOU ARE SELLING..ALSO DUE TO THE HORRIBLE SMELL OF THE HOODIE I RECIEVED FROM YOU- I DO NOT INTEND TO HAVE ANY OTHER GARMENTS FROM YOU..IF YOU CANNOT ISSUE ME A REFUND- WE CAN LET EBAY DECIDE- ALL IM ASKING IS FOR THE RETURN ADDRESS - SO I CAN GIVE IT BACK TO YOU..AND YOU CAN ISSUE ME A REFUND OF MY MONEY AND I WON'T LEAVE NEG FEEDBACK...PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHO AND WERE TO RETURN THIS ITEM..THANK YOU"
Ok, yeah negative feedbacks not great but Unless you doint like the small of Apple Mango Tango Gain, there is no smell! And let ebay decide, I talked to them onight and BTW TURN THE CAPSLOCK OFF!"I have discussed this with an ebay rep last night, After getting your first message, I will offer half throught paypal the other half through store credit. as for a horiible smell all the cloths are washed right after they are listed."
Any clue as what to do? am I being wrong here? the item was $30 and this person made me jump through hoops on shipping it to her. Ebay said that I am right and (yes I coppied the convo id#)I thought half money back was nice, Heck I'm being nicer that any seller has ever been to me! And its a bloody Juicy Coture hoddie, Why not wash it with your personal soap and resell it. I don't smoke, and my dogs dont have access to the "Ebay room" and I always double check before shipping for any smell other than soap.
