I wipe my hand on Will's shirt, almost absently noticing how he's sobbing and praying, going over to Peter's side. "Come on Peter, let's take a walk. Will here can manage on his own for a bit." I put my arm over Peter's shoulder and lead him out of the room, kicking the soundproof door shut after us when we leave.
Well out, I turn him around enough so that I can look at him. I'm a good actor, I pull this off. "Listen. I know this is hard for you to understand, but what we're doing here is for your own good. How are you going to manage what we had planned if you're going to be a fucking pussy about some small time torture? This is nothing compared to what you were capable of. Fuck, you were inspiring."
I pull away, sigh and run the clean hand through my hair. "Let's just... We'll take a moment, let you gain your bearings a little and we can get back to it after. How about some coffee?"

Coffee would probably just make me sick right now. I glance at the blood on his hand, thoughtful, before reaching out to slide my fingertips over it. "You... Be patient with me, okay? I know I'm probably disappointing as fuck, but that just didn't feel right to me. I'm still trying to learn who I was. I'm sure my instincts were... damn good before, but now they're new, they're barely there. I have to learn."
