Title: Cast A Spell

_saekoPairing: None; Doojoon centric
Rating: G
Summary: Doojoon really didn't want to go back to Korea.
Author's Notes: Just a short little drabble that I started a long time ago and decided to just finish it now. xD
A spell was cast him, Doojoon thought. That had to be it. Why else would he feel this way? To feel like the darkness was enclosing in on him and that no matter what he did, he couldn’t get away from it. The darkness, he thought, the darkness was suffocating, overpowering, unbearable; yet, he let it consume him, he let it control him, he let the intense power of the obscurity eat him up alive. Even so, he felt no fear, neither pain, nor regrets; rather, he felt so warm, so welcomed, so safe in the dark abyss of the night. He couldn’t help it; it was impossible to have avoided something like this.
He stared at the beautiful night sky. It was so vast and mysterious; just, incredible. It was so dark, so dark yet so illuminated. He thinks for a moment and realizes that he has never seen the sky this dark before. This must be the true color of the sky, away from the city glow of artificial lighting and haze. The darkness of the night sky was so hypnotizing, but that’s not even what caught most of his attention. What got him the most were the stars. The twinkling stars hanging above his head, just sparkling and lighting up the said, dark sky. He gazed at the small specks of light and he could have sworn that every time he blinked, there were even more. He didn’t even know that it was possible to have so many stars up in the sky up all at once. It was as if someone had spilled a giant jar of glitter onto a plain dark canvas. It was breathtaking, really. He wanted to just sit and stare at the magnificent sight forever. It was so peaceful, unlike the hectic life that he had back in Korea.
Doojoon was distracted from his thoughts when he heard loud snoring coming from the tent that he was situated next to. A small smile formed on his lips as he remembered who he was here with. It would have been nice to have stayed here forever and marvel at the wonders of real nature, but not if he had to stay with the Danbi crew. Surely they were fun to hang around with and were really friendly, but sometimes he couldn’t help but think that if he stayed here then he wouldn’t have that peace and quiet he was thinking of earlier. He shrugged.
He looked back up at the sky one last time before finally retiring into the tent for the night. He settled himself in the middle of those two comedians already fast asleep and snoring loudly. Slowly he closed his eyes as he felt sleep wash over him. Tonight was the last night he was going to spend in this area before filming was over. He really didn’t want to leave. But that’s okay. He didn’t need to stay here to catch glimpses of the beautiful stars. No, there were five beautiful stars already waiting for him back at home. And of course he couldn’t forget the other thousands of those special, twinkling, b2utiful stars that he knows for sure love him so much.
