My fucking boss is an idiot
I know I complain a lot about my job here, but who cares, I'm doing it again. I like my boss, but he has got to be one of the biggest idiots ever. He's had me call the same forwarder every hour to check the status on a shipment that hasn't cleared customs. With my experience I've noticed that things usually take a day or two to clear customs. If it's not cleared at 10am, then it's not going to be cleared by 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm etc...so why does he make me waste my time with this bullshit? Why can't he just take my fucking word for it that the stupid shipment isn't going to clear until tomorrow? And if it isn't cleared in the morning when I call tomorrow, then it will be cleared the next day. Why the fuck do they make me do shit that I know isn't going to work? Why can't they fucking have faith in what I know I can do and just shut the fuck up and let me do my other tasks?
I'm to the point where I want to quit this job and I won't even care how broke I end up because of it.
