(no subject)
well i guess it's time for another entry. it's been awhile since i last wrote in this thing. well saturday morning or i should say saturday afternoon i was woken up by a phone call from dad to tell me that my grandfather had passed away. so i'm going home for a couple of days. i get to be a pall bearer at the funeral. i'm kind of sad about all this and that might sound harsh that i'm not like really torn up about it but it's because he's been sick for years. he was really old and got to where he couldn't remember anything and he didn't know who i was or even who my dad was. so we've all been ready for this to happen. it's actually kind of a relief because lately he's been in a lot of pain and had trouble walking. it was his time. but i do love him and i'll miss him.
but other than that things have been going really really well. i just got a job at dixie cafe as a cook and that has been going well. it's a lot different than the western sizzlin style cooking i'm used to but i'm starting to get the hang of it. and the other night i placed second in a little poker tournament we had. that made me feel really good. especially since i'm the one that usually walks away with nothing. i played really well i think even though now looking back i would have played some hands differently but what can you do. i had a lot of fun which is the main reason i play. and then there is my love life. things with cory have been really great lately. we've kind of slowed things down i guess you could say and just taking things one step at a time. we've had our rough spots but we've worked through them and have a better relationship than ever before.
so there you have it. that's what is going on with my life. who knows i might update again pretty soon.
