well my brother jim was going to move in with me april 16th to get his life together.
he passed away thursday from a massive heart attack at 49 years of age.
i will be going to california on thursday for services.
so...he had sobered up many years ago, then floundered. after a nearly lethal spree of meth and alcohol he managed to sober up again. then had a last relapse ending in a beating that broke five bones in his face, he was nearly killed. his wife decided that he needed a sober living situation so he was coming home to michigan to stay with me and paul for a year or so. apparently the drugs had weakened his heart and the stress of new soberiety and moving and everything else combined with the physical stress of mowing the lawn was enough to do it.
best i can say is he did die sober.
