wow...this is difficult right off. dang.
1. started into private art lessons very young. drew well by the age of 8. went on to the corcoran college of art, spent 5 years doing ceramics and welding at fkcc, two years of private study with Don Binnes BFA, MFA, and Richard Giglio.
2. big ole foodie. i read cookbooks like bedtime stories.
3. i loathe my job...though i am very good at it. i go out almost every monday pounding the pavement to find a better work option. my goal is to not be waiting tables by next new year.
4. tended bar in gay bars for twenty years. in that time i worked every kind of bar there is, busy, chatty, leather, poolside, and even a week or two at a piano bar (purgatory).
5. related to the last entry...i HATE showtunes. Judy Garland died in the toilet and i am glad.
6. ummmm running out of stuff here. i am the quintesential water baby. swam the length and breadth of lake pettybone daily in the summers as a child. first in and last out daily and yearly. would swim til my lips turned blue in september. and yes as a sexual adult i do have a liking for watersports.
7. was actively involved in the leather scene for a decade or so. i think working in the leather bar for 9 years is a large reason that i have left that behind. still have fantasies along those lines though they have all been requited over the years. i just have a difficult time with folks who live in their head and expect those around them to conform to their fantasy life.
8. i miss florida. it is good to be home and i do enjoy my starter house here. but when i look out at the snow i want to get in the truck and drive back to the keys to stay. to be honest and fair i do realise that i miss what Key West was a long time ago much more than what it has become.
