What a crazy last couple of days!
On Wednesday I get a call from the cruise lines saying they could use me for a cruise of my choice, and she listed them off: Caribbean, meh, Alaska, double meh....Europe...hell ya. So I am shipping of to Europe! I just have to pass my CPR tomorrow, ack! and get my medical quick. The ship departes from London a week today, so I will need to fly out before that. Very quick and stressful, and on the ship will be a lot of work, but it will be an experience, better than sitting around Nanaimo all summer.
Then yesterday as I am running around getting stuff done, my car dies...and I mean dead, like someone shot it in the head. No warning, it overheated and came to a stop. Luckily I was in a parking lot, and it was close to Canadian Tire. I let it cool down, took a while, then drove over to Canadian Tire not knowing WTF is up with my car. Its never overheated. They hoist it up and oh oh....something is stupidly wrong with it and it will cost a shitload of money. $564 to be exact, and it will take over night.
I almost cried in the store. Hello God I am a poor teacher who is not working@!
It had to be done, I couldnt even drove home in it, but today I got it back, spent $564 of my future signing bonus, F*@$, and tomorrow I drive to Victoria to do my CPR....whew
