Regarding the recognition of my
ten years at my employer, my manager contacted HR, based on my response from them last week, to report my service anniversary.
She spoke to a different person - the person who runs the report for the service anniversary update. The information I was given was incorrect; someone in HR actually has responsibility to inform the company of service anniversaries. Why I didn't get that information the first time, I am unsure.
The end result is that the mention in the newsletter is the only official recognition an employee receives for service, in a newsletter is only sent infrequently, when they have enough company news to warrant comunication from head office.
I'm just going to party on my own.
