It's official, my iMac is dead. Brought it into the Apple store last week to fix a proxy error on iChat, spent seven hours troubleshooting and waiting around only to come home and have it start randomly freezing, giving me a reboot message, or just flat out shutting itself down the minute I walked out of the room. Three days later it shut itself off and no amount of cursing or praying to the tech gods could convince it to turn back on. Apparently the logicboard randomly crapped out. Fantastic. It's a seven hundred and a bit repair and I'd worry that even if I fixed it something else would break out of warranty soon enough. So I'm on the market for a new computer, which, though awesome and exciting, is also hella expensive.
