An update from Edward
Greetings everyone,
First, classes are going well, we are in the week of final exams. I have one final exam left to complete on Thursday 12-18-08 at 7pm in my Hospitality Marketing II class.
Here are how my grades are thus far:
Hospitality Marketing II: B or possible Incomplete
Research Methods Seminar: Incomplete
Management Challenge Analysis: B
Statistical Methods: Unknown as of right now
Intro to food science: Pass
The two possible incomplete grades are due to my having missed time for my surgery. The other classes took the surgery into consideration and I am fine with my final grade. Food science is an undergraduate course that was available as a Pass/no Pass course. The final exam in food science was optional if you were getting an A in the course. I had an A, so I did not have to take that final. My statistics final was a 24 hour take home exam done this past Saturday/Sunday. I am still waiting for the final grades on that.
On Saturday morning, I will fly back to Las Vegas where I will be moving out of the house that I have lived in since March of 2000. Suffice to say, I am splitting up with David, whom I have been with for almost 12 years. I do not have a problem talking about this, if anyone has any questions about it. I will say that I am still dealing with it, but my decision has been made and I will be sticking to it. As you can see by my grades, I am not doing as well as I was while working on my Masters Degree. One of the major reasons for the decision to split, is because I need to focus on my studies and I will not allow for anyone or anything to stand in the way of attaining my PhD (this is why you have not seen me online and I have not made many posts)
