Wii-tastic....
So I braved the line ...yes there was still a line here....to get a Wii yesterday for the hubby for his birthday and sort of for me as well as I have been intrigued by it. He had expressed an interest in trying it out, so I decided to try and get it. I went first to best buy but the line there was so huge that the meager 80 or so systems they did have were sold out in minutes apparently, as soon as I saw the line though I quickly jumped back into the car and went to EB games down the road which didn’t open till 11 and many people forgot about it being there. The line was only about 10 people deep at that time. I waited the requisite hour and by the time they opened up to slowly let people shell out, the line had jumped to about 50 people fortunately for me I got there early enough that I was one of the apparently lucky ones to get one of the 18 systems that they did have on hand. I have to admit the damn thing is fun for parties we had a few people over last night and it was amazingly fun, crappy graphics and all the motion deal its got going on is super fun. I am sure it will get old eventually but for now its fun.
Anyone have any recommendations for games? And no don’t say Zelda. I bought it on an impulse with the system and I am going to return it because I honestly don’t have time to play something that’s going to take 40 hours right now. I want stuff that is amusing and fun to play and CAN eat up a chunk of my time if I want it too but I don’t have to bang on forever. I have WOW to bang on for hours and not get anywhere thank you …with the Wii I just want the amusement.
I will post my system number once I got it. I haven’t even opened the box yet as, we were banging on my friends Wii that I asked him to bring over because I wanted to be able to return mine if the whole motion control thing just wasn’t fun…
OH yeah and HAppy Bday to my Hubby ...who..made a LJ account I think but doesnt actually use it
