The recent story about the flight attendant who fled a plane after being hit by luggage and berated by a passenger kind of reminded me of this post. It was written in 2006 by a woman who had become tired of seeing service people being treated poorly by customers. She describes a few times when she confronted obnoxious customers who were being rude staff over minor mistakes, and comes to the conclusion that "The Customer is Always Right" is one of the worse phrases in North American culture.
