So I'm back to work today, after taking yesterday off as a small and inadvertent extension of my NYC trip on the weekend.
The trip to NY went mostly well. We did our typical tour of Battery Park, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, some shopping, Ty's, the village, and caught the current production of MacBeth starring Patrick Stewart. We also had a visit with locals pagerbear, theoctohorpe and danbearnyc.
I'm always amazed by NYC...the size of it, the constant activity at all hours, the architecture, the culture, and the fact that the city seems so well organized. I always sleep well and have very intense dreams there, as though my consciousness is caught up in all that while there. It makes Toronto seem pretty dull by comparison.
The only bad part of the trip was that my luggage was lost at the Buffalo airport, found about an hour after we left the airport, and returned to me at 3:40 AM on Tuesday. But at least I got it back.
