brief MD/DC/Va recap
I am just getting around to this now after being busy this week. Overall we had a good time, and what amazed me was how many of you went to great inconvienence to meet us or host us for the trip.
We spent time with timcub and markgarciachris, carytown and his partner, and fritterfae and his cherry-red haired roomate (LJ unknown), mango_king as well as a few other LJ-less friends.
A few work-safe highlights:
* scrapple
* the Baltimore aquarium and waterfront
* Edgar Allan Poe's grave
* Tatts (on Cary and Fritter) ;)
* the Virgina Museum
* Carytown (part of Richmond with all kinds of gay stuff)
* The Chapel of the Confederacy and a battlefield near Fredricksberg
* seeing Hillary Clinton
* The Jefferson Memorial
* The United States Botanic Garden in DC (worth seeing even if you're not into plants)
* Cute finches at Superpet
* Meeting mango_king's finches
* Having some bear randomly hit on a group of us near Leon's in Baltimore (we brushed him off as he was being way too forward, though he was cute)
* Getting majorly lost in DC but managing to navigate our way back to where we needed to be
