today's excitements
i) Waking up to a loud, massive thunderstorm at 5:50 AM. I drifted back into a doze while listening to the heavy rain and thuder until my radio came on at 6:20. Felt more refreshed than in a long time.
ii) Getting a new computer at work. This was great given that I've spent 5 years working with a second hand one with WindownNT that froze up two or three times a week.
iii) Seeing one the Finches continue recover from her near-fatal mishap on monday (post to follow on that).
iv) Having a balcony planter blow over and crash against the window (which fortunately didn't break). For a moment I thought someone had heaved a heavy rock at the window or something.
v) Getting a nice birthday card from tim_e_bear. Wherever does he get all those sparkley bear stickers he puts on the cards and envelope?
