Voters in Kansas have kicked out both the pro-creationist (or rather, pro-"intelligent design") candidates for the state school board in the next election. So apparently reason and empirical evidence will once again be considered appropriate topics for a classroom.

Or at least faith in the idea that church and state (ie. public funded schools) should be separate, and voters actually agree with this idea!
