Know Your Pet
When I was very young, I remember my Dad selling these cute little pet care books published by Pet Library Ltd. The series was published back in the 70's and featured titles such as "Know Your Canary", "Know How to Set Up An Aquarium", "Know Your Collie" , and so on. A similar series of shorter books with the title "Enjoy Your (insert pet here)" was also published by the same company. There were some hardcover P.L. Ltd. books that came out in the 80's as well.
I scanned a cover of one and pasted it here out of interest. If any of you happen to have any of this series that you might be interested in selling, I do collect them. Right now I have about 30 in total from both series, and there was about 100 published.
Now, an interesting and slightly evil thought occurs to me. With a little photoshop skill (which I don't have at all) one could probably have great fun using these templates to make up parody book-covers on GLBT topics.
I can mentally picture such titles "Know Your Bear" or "Enjoy Your Bear Run" or "Know Your Drama Queen", just to get started....
