Rundown: VM canceled, my fall schedule, Smallville

May 17, 2007 22:47

-Veronica Mars was officially canceled. I'm not as sad as I thought I would be, but then again, I feel like I saw the writing on the wall for a while now. Like phantomlord_lop said in his Rant of the Week wrestling column last week: Usually when you get bad news it’s a shock to your system. You go numb and then there’s the denial and agony. Well I’m skipping over all that and moving right to acceptance. And that's exactly what I did. We got three seasons of a show that wouldn't have lasted three episodes on the other networks. It was a hell of a ride. Veronica Mars was simply just ahead of its time. All I can say is good luck to everyone involved with VM in their future endeavors.

-My fall TV viewing's going to look like this:

Monday- Heroes
Tuesday- Reaper, Cane
Wednesday- Pushing Daisies, Gossip Girl, tape Bionic Woman
Thursday- Smallville, Big Shots, tape My Name Is Earl
Friday- Friday Night Lights; I might check out Moonlight
Sunday- Shark

I have to wait 'til spring for Sarah Conner Chronicles.

I mention Gossip Girl because Leighton Meester(Surface, Veronica Mars) is starring and Kristen Bell's doing the voiceover narration as the Gossip Girl.

-Smallville was fucking awesome tonight. Lana may be dead, Chloe's power is like the mythical phoenix(her tears brought Lois back to life) and she might be dead(if her power is like a phoenix, she'll be back), and Clark fights the final Phantom Zoner, and it ended up being Bizzaro(!), a Kryptonian genetic experiment.
