Saints rout Tampa Bay 31-6

Oct 17, 2010 22:13

The Saints looked like the Saints of last year, whipping the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-6 to improve to 4-2 on the season and jump back into a tie for first in the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons, who lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 31-17.

Drew Brees threw to 10 different receivers, throwing for 263 yards, 3 TD's, and only 1 INT(though that INT was a ball tipped at the line of scrimmage very late in the 1st half).

Chris Ivory had a big game replacing the injured Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush, running for 158 yards on 15 carries, as the Saints had a combined 212 yards rushing.

The Saints host the 1-5 Cleveland Browns next Sunday at noon on CBS.
