Danica finishes 8th, remains 5th in points

-Danica Patrick finished 8th just now at the Meijer Indy 300 at Kentucky Speedway, won by Ryan Briscoe, who edged Ed Carpenter(Carpenter's best career finish) by 0.0162 of a second, the 7th closest finish in Indy Racing League history.

Danica remains 5th in the points standings, now 107 points behind Briscoe(who re-took the points lead from Scott Dixon(finished 6th) by 8 points), and 32 behind Helio Castroneves for 4th.

This was the first race that was run with the "Push2Pass" deal and the optional equipment add-ons to add downforce to the car for the oval tracks, and it made for an exciting race with Briscoe and Carpenter side by side for the last 10 laps.

Though I still think that they should add the double-file restarts(along with moving lapped cars to the back of the pack) and the free pass giving a lap back to the first car a lap down from NASCAR.
