LSU edges out Butler in 1st round
The LSU Tigers held on to defeat a very good Butler Bulldogs team 75-71 in the 1st round of the NCAA Men's Tournament just now.
Marcus Thornton scored 28 points, as LSU held off a Butler rally from 31-18 deficit in the 1st half with the Bulldogs getting a few 1-point leads in the 2nd half.
The Tigers will play Saturday in the 2nd Round, most likely against #1 seed North Carolina.
