Rundown, Random style: Heroes and Reaper; Random TV thoughts

Jan 24, 2009 08:26

-Heroes restarts Feb. 2nd, and Reaper starts Season 2 March 17th.

-It's time for certain characters on some of the TV shows I watch to either "shit or get off the pot", as Randal Graves from Clerks would say:

Clark Kent, Smallville: It's time for him to fly, straight and simple. Though that still might not happen since it's rumored that Tom Welling signed on for one more season.

Mouth McFadden, One Tree Hill: Pick a girl already, kid.

-Spike TV(as well as some of the other cable networks) needs to shit or get off the pot as well. I wish Spike TV would quit airing CSI and CSI:NY all the damn time(Spike's running yet another all week marathon next week). It's really getting annoying. I liked Unsolved Mysteries and don't mind the new version and I liked that they got the Married With Children reruns(still one of my Top 10 all-time favorites), but how many times do they need to show the CSI shows(especially since they did an all-day marathon on MLK Day and the Thursday before because last week was Grissom's last show). Although they are running a Married With Children marathon on Valentine's Day.

Bottom line: If you're going to run the same damn show all the damn time, you shouldn't be surprised if nobody's watching the shows anymore or even want to watch them.

-Other news: Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets was selected by the fans as a starter for the Western Conference in the NBA All-Star Game next month in Phoenix, his 2nd straight All-Star game.

And the LSU men's basketball team is thriving under coach Trent Johnson(15-3, 3-1 in SEC play so far, tied for 1st in the West division with Mississippi State, who they beat 81-57 Wednesday night).

-My Super Bowl pick: Arizona 27, Pittsburgh 24; I was leaning towards Pittsburgh because of their defense, but it helps Arizona that their head coach was hired from the Steelers(he was offensive coordinator).

super bowl, tv, new orleans hornets, lsu tigers
