It's a really, really small world
I was flipping channels this morning waiting for the Legion of Super Heroes to come on, and I caught Ameer Haleem on VH1's Countdown describing a performer who grew up in Ravensdale, Washington, and is living in Seattle. The next video up was Brandi Carlile with The Story.
I visited her site, as I wasn't sure if Ameer was referring to her. It turns out that her home town is Maple Valley and her parents are still living there. Thus, it turns out that flinx and I grew up in the same town as Brandi, and if she really lived towards Ravensdale (or in Ravensdale,) then we lived only 10 minutes away.
I've never met Brandi, as she's eight years younger than me. We may have gone to the same schools, shopped at the same stores, and likely have visited the same medical facilities.
This is just freaky.
