For the last couple of weeks, I've been going to a 9:00 beginner's yoga class before my usual 11:00 level 2 class, just to work out the overnight stiffness and warm up for the 11:00 class. This has, by and large, worked out well. I've been able to get more out of the 11:00 class because my muscles are already warm and all the creaks, squeaks and rattles are sorted out. However, my usual teacher is at a funeral today, so the 9 and 11 classes had subs. Both classes were a tad more "vigorous" than is usually the case. Both were very good classes, mind you, and the teacher for the 9:00 class brought her puppies, so there was petting time after class, but about midway through Mandy's "slowed down" flow class at 11, my butt was thoroughly kicked.
Suffice it to say that I am now feeling very noodly.
related to that, Mandy is doing a boys only "stretch and strength" class on Sundays in February, so I think I am definitely going to go to that and see how many of my guy friends I can drag with me.
