Dancing around like a loon in public... Business as usual!
It's been a while since I've looked at this, let alone posted... But, I suppose now I have something to post about (that and I'm using Facebook more and more these days).
I'm in Canada, all safe and well. Been chilling out with friends and such. Yesterday was really awesome; went to this silent rave thing. It was totally sweet, surprisingly. The idea being that you bring your headphones and dance to your own music (I chose Pharmacy Black Vol 4 - Reign in Blood.. Mixed by DJ Hellraiser and Yoji Biomehanika... Just for a taste from home - and let me tell you, it was an awesome choice!).
The freaky thing was how well it worked... After a song or two, it became really, really easy to forget that everyone around you wasn't dancing to your song. Which was awesome because everyone was hearing what they wanted to hear... the downside is that you couldn't 'share' a song with other people (a cool aspect of raves).. But yeah, got to chill out with new friends, Read and Jeff, and old; Scott and Nat. :-D Lots and lots of fun... From the silent rave to Read's awesome technoloically advanced house to bubble tea to home with rockstar to going geocaching with Read, Kimmy and Scott. Lots of fun! God I slept well.
I think I have a job with a liquor store, surprise surprise. I just have to be careful that I don't start buying the expensive alcohol again. Anyway, I should call them now to see what time I am meant to arrive tomorrow. Fuckers have been so slack with calling me back.. Bastards. Hehe. I don't really care... but I should put more effort into getting a decent job. I mean, I've been really slack... Kinda got burnt out on the previous job back home.
Not sure what else to report... I'm looking forward to Infected Mushroom on Friday Night. That should be freaking sweet... I need to get their new stuff and get into it, so I at least can sing along. :-D

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I started writing. It's a slow process but an absolute ass-load of fun! Nearly gotten the first chapter out.. and it's going pretty well. Trying a method where I write out the paragraph without stopping, /then/ edit it.. It's taking a long time, but it's getting results. Basically got inspired by books like Dresden Files and tv shows like Moonlight (by the way - totally read/watch these... good value!).. So writing my own supernatural P.I. thing... Maybe i should get my hands on some old, film noir style P.I. things. That could help. Woo! Watching Iron Man inspired me... Freaking good movie, that one. Helped me get out a paragraph or two that were really giving me issue. I find it burns out my muse quicker if I try to describe people. Things, actions, etc are fine.. But putting words to what a character looks like. That takes effort, apparently. But then, the same was when I was mushing. Only ever had one description for my character.. Hm... Hehe, oh well. It's all good. I should get back into it!
