From Angkor Wat brooch
An..n..n..d there's a problem. The petals are too big. They're a better fit for a different brooch. I realized that the center was much more sleek, almost Faberge egg-like, and really suits the background. The petals...well, not so much.
So, now I figure out how to remove them, intact, and use them in a different project, eventually.
I'm going to replace them with some pearls, and that should do the job nicely, and then I can move on to the next stage.
