I really should be working right now. Really and truly. Should be working. Right now.
Instead, I just feel obstinate and cranky and while I know I have 5 long hours stretching ahead of me that can certainly be filled with any number of things, I pretty much would rather sit and play around online.
And drink hot chocolate because I am freezing cold and would like chocolate. So there.
It's been a pretty damn good week, I say. I'm emerging out of my cancer like shell a bit and when all is said and done, I will have gone out and seen 3 different people on a weeknight. I mean whoa...2 can be pushing my limits sometimes but 3? Holy shit. Between this past Friday and this it's like I'm in college all over again. Work is going well and I'm enjoying my weekly meetings with my boss. I'm pleased with the projects I'm making progress on and was rewarded yesterday with something I have wanted to own here from the go- scripting! Somehow, someway it became known I am good at writing scripting and doing commonsense, customer service focused, corporate word smithing. Well, it's mine now. ALL MINE. I own them! No new scripts or updates to existing ones can be made without my approval. I am the great and powerful Oz behind the curtain, with my viking helmet and shark puppet, pulling the strings of clinic vernacular with mundane possibility.
Just a week to go until con time. I really hope my costume works out. Truly.
