Shedding the Skin
The trip to Spokane was extremely productive. I got a decently sized studio apartment in an old house. The women who owns the building runs a fixed up Victorian mansion turned bed and breakfast in my soon to be back yard. The houses have been featured on several magazines and an upcoming episode of Antiques Road Show. I LOVE ANTIQUES ROAD SHOW, when I heard that bit of info I was sold.
Spokane is an absolutely adorable small city with a clean downtown, several parks, and cute quirks. I met a few of the people I am going to be working with and the organization was extremely impressive, well run, and caring. As of this moment it looks like a great move/opportunity.
In two days I am leaving to drive with my mother to Utah for orientation. Than from Utah we will drive on to Spokane. After only having my driver’s license for a week- and part of that week I could not drive- I am taking on 2430 mile drive. Nuts, maybe a bit, but exciting none the less.
