Sometimes it's those you work for rather than work with that make it all worth it. In customer service most folks are in and out of seconds long transactions and on their way leaving only a fleeting blip on the radar. In the last week I've been left two special tips from regular customers and not for any out of the ordinary service: merely they said, "for just being kind and pleasant" whenever they deal with me. It feels good to be appreciated by those you help out in your job.
The gratuities? a bottle of Absolut and a bottle of Toasted Head Ultimate Red wine.
