Drum interview!
1. How long have you been a drummer?
My first practice with EB was about four years ago.
2. When/why did you decide to be a drummer?
I remember being at the Blue Rock Tavern and talking to EB about playing the drums.
3. What kind of set did you play?
ddrums. I've owned them for less than twenty four hours! :)
4. What album(s) did you learn to drum to? If not an album, with whom? Or did you just bang it out?
Weezer - Blue Album
Helicopter Helicopter - Both albums!
5. When you started out, did you buy so many accessories?
No, I just got my drumset.
6. Single or double?
Single.
7. Stick size/type?
I have no idea. I haven't experimented yet!
8. Nylon tips, or wood?
Wood tips, DUH.
9. What brand of heads do you prefer?
I haven't had the time. The heads that came on the drums are still on there. I know they are shitty though.
10. What is your favorite cymbal ever?
Again. I HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME.
11. What are your thoughts on china cymbals?
I have no idea idea what those are.
12. How about splashes?
Still learning?!?
13. Where did you get your gear from?
I got my set from Jordan Small, whose cousin I went to grade school with!
14. How do you feel about the statement “any drummer with more than a four piece set is an asshole?”
Jon Weiner is the asshole, everyone agrees.
15. I know that you aren't in any bands now.. What bands have you been in/are you in? Would you mind listing out a bandography for us?
I played the egg shakers in The Virginia Blues.
16. Where is your best performance located? (This refers to physical media)

18. Who were your initial top three drummers?
Dillinger Four's drummer, because I met him once. He's also a psychiatrist, or something!
Travis Barker, because I remember liking him on the one with the lady on the cover (Enema of the State.) I really liked him in The Transplants as well. Also The Fury of The Aquabats... Also, he's hot!!!
I really liked Keasby Nights - Catch 22. I really liked how the whole ska thing sounded super fast!
19. Have you ever actually stopped a cymbal crack?
I've never actually cracked one.
20. Do you play any other instruments, or do you feel like a drummer should just concentrate on doing their drummer job well?
I have played piano, but I hardly remember the notes. Yes, a drummer should focus on their job. I'm more interested in someone writing the song, and following along, and seeing what I can add to it.
21. How do you feel about that “This drummer is at the wrong gig" video?
I will check it out tomorrow! ......
Well i guess i'm canceling all my plans today because now I just have to watch that video forever!
22. What is your signature move?
MY FACE.
23. What cd do you put in just because the drums are amazing?
Veni Vidi Vicious - The Hives. I feel like the drums are amazing!!!!!!!
24. What would be the most exciting fill in spot for you; the kind where you would puke from excitement before going onstage?
Dillinger Four!
25. Shoe preference or no shoe?
Shoe. Anything that makes me not feel like a hippie.
