Access Test Final

Yesterday's Access test had a Question about Crosstab Query's. The example did not work because the information was not in the Tables. After talking to the teacher about this and she looked at it, I figured it out that you have to create a Query based on the 2 Tables and then do the Crosstab based on the Query, not the Table, so that all your information is there.

She decided that since she didn't teach that, that she was going to throw out the question. Even though I figured it out. She did say yes that I did think outside the box but it is not fair to the other students that they were not taught this yet. So I was like OK so do I get extra points for figuring this out... She said no. I came back and said well in the real world if your employer does this you have to think outside the box.

Am I wrong in that I think outside the box and can usually figure out things like this?
