Battle of the Colleges
so the decision for college is right around the corner... may 1st
I guess im between oneonta and new paltz.. truth be told, i don't want to go to either one.
i seriously contemplated jcc.. but i know i can't do it. it's just not what i want.
i always wanted the big school right in the heart of some big city.
ive been reading student reviews for both schools for a few hours now and it's not helping.
ONEONTA
pros: closer than new paltz, great art program, i was accepted in the honors program, liked the cafeterias, relatively cheap, RJ will be there
cons: disgusting dorms, nothing to do, the majority of the people there party hence it's nickname "Stoneonta"
NEW PALTZ
pros: 1.5 hours away from the city/my sister, known mainly for it's art program, better financial deal than oneonta, looks like a better campus (won't know for sure until i visit)
cons: 4.5 hours away, nobody who i know there, may not be able to schedule a visit
I just think im scared. Which is weird because this is all I've talked about for the last 3 years.. going away to college. I just didn't really feel comfortable at Oneonta.. i mean i feel like i could make myself enjoy it, but there's no guarantee. I cried today just thinking about it.
I don't know what i'm going to do....
