Health update

Well, I've been doing really well this past week, after a rocky and emotional couple of weeks.  It was so hard to get sorted regarding what I needed to do, and how to best go about doing it.  But, with all of the tons of advice coming my way, I took a bit from everyone and created something doable for me, and it worked!  Trying to split my meals into 6 small ones instead of 3 large ones was hard, until tormentor_james told me to think of it as first and second breakfast, first and second lunch, etc.  My mom is using that too, by the way, and also thanks you!  canzonet told me to make sure I have a protein in the morning, and before I go to bed, and that has gotten me off to a great start each morning, thank you.  I'm waking up repeatedly, so I have a little handful of peanuts around 3 or 4am as well, because my nights are tending to be long because of the sleeplessness.

Everyone else has been informative, supportive and understanding of the emotional bits, and I thank you for that!  There isn't supposed to be symptoms with prediabetes, yet I have quite a few, and had wondered why.  I am certain now that it is because, as a vegetarian, my protein intake was adequate, but not for someone with a now declining pancreas.  The symptoms are now well-managed.

All in all, I do believe that I have more energy than I have actually had in some time now, and it feels awesome to have my strength coming back so quickly!
