Happy Birthday, moireach! Hope it was awesome.
I played five minutes or so of a Mario game on my cousins' Gamecube today, and dude. Waaaay too complicated for me. Give me flat graphics and a side-scrolling screen any day.
ALSO -- I'm on the hunt for two items, and I ask you, o knowledge-having f'list, to help me out. Because I'm demanding like that. ;)
Item the first: last summer someone wrote a Master and Commander/Day After Tomorrow crossover -- Jack realizes that if his latitude and longitude calculations are correct, the Surprise is in the middle of Paris. I've been looking for it *everywhere*, but to no avail. Sound familiar? Found! The story is marginalia's the one who holds the seven stars. (Thank you, zoniduck!)
Item the second: does anyone have an mp3 of Nina Simone's version of "Sinner Man"? (It's the heist music from the end of The Thomas Crown Affair). Found! Many thanks to tangledaria for the help. (the file should still be available via YSI here in case anyone wants to share the Thomas Crown love.)
