finally......i think....
so i think i may have finally done it....i had a final interview with gap outlet today...and it went well!!!! she pretty much told me that i had the job...shes like im just the final stamp of approval..i had to make sure that you and i would get along etc. cause youd kind of be working for me...the others all spoke very highly of you....so i have to call the recruiter, and im sure well work something out. so....this conversation leads me to believe that i have the job...BUT i do know who im dealing with....so ill feel much better and be much more excited when i have the actual offer...and just my luck, the recruiter is out of the office til thursday. and shes only there for like 3 hours that day.....so hopefully shell get to me then..or her sub will call me tomorrow....i hate waiting....almost as much as i hate my job...but thats another story...
who would schedule one person to open....no other customer service people til noon....no manager til 1.....on a shipment and markdown day?!?!?! yeah...thats right old navy where i work...where else? so we dont finish shipment...cause my logistics people have to become customer service.....and the cell phones in the store arent working...meaning the only place we have ringing phones is in the office...cept no one is back there. so theres an alert on the computer to call in to store support so that corporate it can fix the problem...now if corporate it knows theres an issue, why dont they just fix it? cut out the middle man? so i call...and then call my corporate it man..and hes like, "i thought the phones were working after we fixed them last week", no...not so much...and i told him about the alert...his response, "i put it there..." OK...now if you put the message there, why the hell are you insisting that my phones are working? great....theyre working on it..so ill have phones some time next century....although he tells me that the other stores that have the phones arent having issues....great....fix my damn phones....then we get word that the company vp is out and about....sweet....i have 2 cashiers...one fitting room person....5 carts of shipment...and incomplete markdowns...and no one in til 1....oh...and the auditor might be back....BUT the sunday audit never got finished....the other supervisor and i look at eachother, and at the same time...."we are so getting fired"
however, luck must have been on my side..cause no visitor showed up....i came up with a bullshit plan to get everything done incase they came in and asked....AND the 1pm manager thanked me cause its the second time ive saved his ass in the past week....he wants me to do the schedule, cause i wont fuck it up like the other guy....hes like you should be the schedule manager....and im like im the damage control manager....and he gave me a high five.....however, the evil one works tomorrow....say a prayer for me.....although im not too worried......
in other news, i still have a ripped apart bathroom.....al never came back. not that i thought he would. im going to have a bathtub with no bottom rubber on it and a wall with no rubber attached to it until i move out. sweet.....
*sigh* there is light at the end of the tunnel....everything is falling into place.....and my head is pounding....off to bed...yes, its only 930, but i have no life and i have to be at work at 6 am......heres to hoping everything works out :) and i hear something soon...like tomorrow....cause i hate waiting :)
