or name. It is buying a new notebook. Really, since when are there so many different of them available? Since when did people stop discussing them on the internet?
If I said there are so many different ones, well yes but basically they are all the same when it comes to processors, ram and stuff I could line here but do not know anything about (graphics cards, sound stuff etc.).
When I bought my current notebook, I looked for the one with the highest rating in a lower price range on amazon. I was simple, silver, not over-styled, not goddamn ugly. Now there is not such a thing like an all-round, mid-range price notebook with good ratings (or any ratings). People do not rate anymore and if, they complain.
Yesterday I raced through every electronics store looking at what felt like a billion laptops. And they all looked ugly. And the ones that were not ugly were incredibly expensive or just crap.
Buying electronics should be fun. I mean spending some hundred euro, i do expect at least a little bit of fun. But no. It is stress.
Three days and I was about to buy 4 different notebooks. Every time i was sure I had a winner, something was wrong with it (too hot, too loud, too slow, too dark).
Now, I'll probably go with not-so-good-looking, not loud enough but not so pricey and big harddrive one. Maybe.
