My week was an interesting one.
First of all, Monday was not spent at school but it was spent at the doctor's office at home. This basically threw off my week. After the doctor finished taking my blood to run tests, I went back home to pack and go with Kim for her x-ray. Then I had to go to O'hare to get the bus back to school. It was an experience just finding the place. Once on the bus it was a peaceful ride home. Dana met me at the Bone and then it was a long night of unpacking and homework.
Tuesday really wasn't anything special. Back to class and such. Also picked up the table tent that I can't use. Tuesday night was a night from hell. The medicine that the doctor put me had horrible side effects. At least for me. I had the worst headache of my life, I couldn't function. I also felt like I was throw up. That was awesome because I was trying to study for a test. After passing out for two hours, and apparently missing a good thunderstorm, I felt better and got some studying done.
Wednesday was test day. I had my geography test which I have to do well on. I can't believe how much I'm struggling in that class. At work I stamped five carts of books and got a bruise on my hand from stamping so much. I found this amusing. When I got back to my room, I worked on my sociology paper which was crap. My roommates boyfriend stayed the night. (this is significant later)
Thursday started way too early. All of us had just gone to bed and by us I mean me, Whitney and her boyfriend. I was extremely tired and was dead asleep within 10 mins. About an hour after I went to bed, I heard a noise follow by a voice saying "there is a fire in the building, please evacuate the building immediately....use the green stairwell" I hoped that I was imagining it, but unfortunately it wasn't. Whitney was still awake but her boyfriend was dead asleep. Once we found everyone on the floor we headed to the stairwell where we just waited. We didn't move for about 10 mins. Boy do I feel safe. Once we got down the 24 flights of stairs, we got to stand outside in the middle of the street. Finally we got back in the room and I went back to bed.
But since I went to bed at 3am, I overslept the next morning and missed my first class. After taking the fastest shower of my life, I ran across the quad to turn in my sociology paper. After class and work, I went to the store with Dana and Marlee. Once we got our groceries, it was back to Marlee's to watch Grey's. Then it was back to my room to try and forget about the day.
Today was a decent day. Work was alright. I actually got to shelve today. Then I went to the store to try and find some black dress pants for conference tomorrow. Thankfully I was successful. I also found dress shoes to wear. They have a small heel, so I have been practicing walking in them all night, cause everyone knows that heels and I don't really mix.
So now I'm watching one of my favorite movies, The Blues Brothers, and getting ready for tomorrow, which is going to be an early and loooong day.
Goodnight
