An open letter
Dear Boy's preschool teacher(s),
Thank you for encouraging my son to write his name and for being supportive in his attempts. Please, however, do NOT tell him he's done a "GREAT JOB!" when he's written the whole thing backwards - right to left AND each letter backwards - even though he's being silly.

Mom who just spent 10 minutes explaining how reading things works and why we write from left to right normally to the boy who's just learning the mechanics of reading and writing.
