Ok, first things first. I'm gonna talk about sex, ya'll. Specifically, the bestselling trilogy "50 Shades of Grey." I'm not going to get uber graphic or anything but if you are a parental unit or family member of mine, or just a friend who prefers we not discuss sexy books, bow out now. No harm, no foul, I'll see you at the next family dinner and

I didn't think I'd like Moneyball, but surprisingly I did. And I hate baseball AND statistics.
War Horse was beautifully done. I mean, visually, it's just so, so stunning to look at. But the animal violence really made me uncomfortable. And also, when they shot the two boys....it was so hard to watch. It's a good movie, but I couldn't wait for it to be over and I never want to see it again.
I floundered a while during Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, too! I found the best way to get through it is to kinda not try so hard to follow it. I know it sounds counterintuitive, but it worked for me. I just focused on the broad strokes, there's a double agent, it's Smiley's job to find him, here are the suspects. Once I did that, I just kind of automatically started absorbing the rest. I hope you give it a try again sometime, I thought it was a really good film and I thought Gary Oldman was tremendous in it.
I love Bridesmaids! You are right, it's sadder than you think a movie like that will be. But I think that just makes it more real and relatable. My takeaway was not that you need a boyfriend to be happy, but that you need FRIENDS to be happy.
Martha Marcy May Marlene was one of my absolute favorite movies from last year! It's so, so good. Pitch perfect. Doesn't over explain, trusts the viewer to understand looks and silences. The depiction of the cult is just dead on, from the leader renaming recruits to the the way he comforts and insults and terrifies them into submission all with one sentence.
I'm excited for you to see Shame, Warrior and Drive! Especially Shame and Drive, I thought they were two of the very best movies I saw last year.

do you ever log into instant messengers? i hate to leave comments for everyone to see, so i avoid personal topics.
I'll be sure to watch Drive and Shame next. and I'll let you know what I thought. <3

I didn't know anyone used IM anymore, I thought everyone was on FB chat (which I kinda hate)! I will download IM again!

I don't use FB anymore. I decided it's not very informative and it makes me sad to see all my CA friends update about their fun times when I can't visit them. Also, I decided not to post anything in case a future employer finds it one day (to be on the safe side).
Also, I hate it. lol.
and I would move in a split second if I didn't depend on my mother for my injections. my insurance doesn't cover them and they cost about $3,300 a month without coverage.
