I never thought it would be possible to spend a year in a committed relationship with someone, let alone someone I met in college.
On Monday I celebrated my first ever 1 year anniversary with Dustin. We went to the Melting Pot, stuffed ourselves silly, lauged, drank wine, and enjoyed each others company. I searched for so long for someone showing true compassion and understanding; someone who enjoys listening as much as talking; someone who does't always get my quirks and absurdities but likes me for me anyways. Someone who is infatuated with me but doesn't smother me, someone who wants my mind, body, and soul.
I found all this in him.
I don't have to understand the meaning of love yet, and its something he's never pressured me into saying or believing. All I know is that I am thankful for everything he does for me, and I can only hope I can do half of what he's done for me for him.
